Organic Foods

When Benjamin started eating solid food, I was concerned about the chemicals that were in non-organic foods. The more research I did on the subject, the more I realized how important whole, organic foods are. And so I started buying organic vegetables, fruits, dairy, and poultry/meat. I quickly realized that is was going to cost more to feed our family with organic foods, but decide that is was better to pay for healthier food options, than having to pay a doctor later down the road.

However, I have found ways to save money and still buy organic; buying locally through farmer's markets, growing our own vegetables, and freezing the extras for winter. Also buying in season fruits and vegetables is cheaper.

Check back for links, tips, and what we will be growing in our garden come spring!
